Come get a taste of offshore sailing amongst the Leeward Islands of the Caribbean! We are sailing Panacea X from St.Maarten to Martinique for a stab at the Tour de Martinique race, offering a great opportunity to collect roughly 250 offshore miles in one long hop.

Sailors should expect to participate fully in the running of the boat and will get experience with a wide variety of skills and conditions, with none of the stress of doing it on your own.

Unlike our other offshore mileage builders, we are unlikely to be putting in a stop along the way- so be prepared to launch straight into full offshore life when we leave St.Maarten.

Pre-Requisites

Sailing experience to a Competent Crew level is required, but to a Day Skipper level is recommended.

Logistical Note

Crew will join the boat by dinghy in Simpson Bay anchorage, most likely boarding at the St.Maarten Yacht Club. Crew will depart the boat by dinghy in the main Fort de France anchorage.

Maximum 4 crew + skipper + first mate
Includes professional skipper, first mate, all food & non-alcoholic drinks on board, fuel, moorage, yacht insurance and all other operating costs of the yacht. Participants are responsible for: food on shore and other discretionary spending, mandatory travel insurance, flights & on shore accommodation before/after. Note that those staying for the Tour de Martinique are welcome to stay aboard between the end of this trip and the start of the Tour.

About life on board

This week is an offshore delivery, with the ultimate goal to get Panacea X safely to Martinique. One thing this offshore mileage builder is not, is a luxury passenger vacation. Your skipper cannot do all things every day, so it’s important to come ready to pitch in and help with all the day- to-day tasks necessary to keep the boat neat and tidy and everyone fed and happy. Everyone should be prepared to take a turn preparing a meal, taking care of dishes, tidying up the cabin and we’ll work together to keep the boat ship shape throughout the cruise.
