Sea to Sky Sailing is a company that offers world-class RYA sailing certification and progressive race training in beautiful British Columbia. We are the only Royal Yachting Association training center on the west coast of North America. We provide cruising instruction and yacht racing training in British Columbia and racing and cruising in the Caribbean. Sea to Sky Sailing teaches clients of all experience levels how to build their sailing skills and knowledge, so they can set out on adventures of their choosing with confidence.
Job Description:
Sea to Sky Sailing is looking for an enthusiastic and experienced RYA Sailing Instructor to join our BC team. The candidate must have their RYA Senior Instructor certification. Prior experience as an RYA instructor is preferred but not required. The candidate should be able to work well with people from a variety of backgrounds and experience levels. This role involves conducting both day courses out of West Vancouver and live-aboard sessions, requiring several days away at sea for immersive learning experiences.
Responsibilities:
Delivering comprehensive RYA courses
Evaluating students’ knowledge and skills throughout the course, providing constructive feedback to facilitate their learning and development.
Ensuring the safety of all participants
Vessel maintenance
Providing excellent customer service
Qualifications:
RYA Cruising Instructor (or higher). This requirement is non-negotiable, and applications that do not meet this criterion will not be considered.
RYA Yachtmaster Offshore, with valid commercial endorsements
Experience in teaching RYA courses
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work well in a team environment
Strong organizational and time management skills
English Fluency

Start date is negotiable, early summer is ideal.
Salary: $43,000-$52,000
